THE FEED THE SOLUTION CAMPAIGN

The Feed the Solution campaign seeks to address the root causes of hunger through advocacy and coalition building. The campaign was supported over a three-year term by the Trinity Grants Program, and brought together Cathedral Community Cares, The New York City Coalition Against Hunger (NYCCAH) and Episcopal Charities to collaboratively fight the growing problem of food insecurity in New York City and throughout the Diocese.

In 2008, Feed the Solution takes a new direction in order to further solidify and expand the network to include other faith groups and anti-hunger organizations throughout the city. The New York City Coalition Against Hunger (NYCCAH) will staff and coordinate the newly named Interfaith Voices Heard, Feeding the Solution campaign. An existing Feed the Solution partner, The Hunger Action of New York State (HANNYS) will continue to inform campaign efforts outside of the city and coordinate advocacy opportunities for our churches and emergency food programs through their Faith and Hunger Network. Episcopal Charities will continue to support feeding programs that offer Beyond Emergency Services as a component of its services.
